Button functions:

The mode button on the Mini Alpha controller can be easily accessed by reaching under the front nose.

Pressing the button will cycle through the following modes in this order:

1. KITT Idle mode (standard scan pattern)
2. KITT Cruise mode (faster scan pattern)
3. KITT Surveillance mode (fastest scan pattern)
4. KITT Hacked mode
5. KITT Presentation mode – cycles between all effects in KITT mode with a 20 second delay between
6. KARR Idle mode (standard scan pattern)
7. KARR Cruise mode (faster scan pattern)
8. KARR Surveillance mode (fastest scan pattern)
9. KARR Hacked mode
10. KARR Presentation mode – cycles between all effects in KARR mode with a 20 second delay between

When powering off KITT, the last used mode will be stored in the Mini Alpha’s memory and will be used when the model is next powered on.

The ultimate scanner upgrade

Perfect for modellers looking to upgrade the stock scanner without all the additional features that the mighty Ultimate Electronic Kit provides.

The scanner is powered from the stock mainboard and is controlled by it’s own mini controller – serving as straight swap for the stock scanner.

This kit features an accessible button neatly housed within KITTs front nose for switching modes – easily accessible by reaching under the front bumper.

The mini alpha controller also features a memory function for storing your last used/preferred scanner mode.

How does this differ from the scanner within the Ultimate Electronic Kit?

This is the same scanner from within the Ultimate Electronic Kit featuring a selection of five display modes in both KITT and KARR colours.

However, it differs in that without the Alpha Circuit Pro mainboard controlling it, it does not feature all of the additional audio and syncing capabilities that the Alpha Circuit Pro provides – such as the peak meter effects, disco mode, volume level display or monitor syncing when in surveillance mode etc. These are only available when used together with the Alpha Circuit Pro mainboard.

The Alpha Circuit Pro also benefits from receiving over-the-air updates which can unlock additional scanning patterns in future releases which this standalone kit can not receive.

Instead, this standalone scanner uses the stock audio from the stock mainboard and is activated using the watch, featuring five of the most necessary modes from the ultimate kit to make your KITT model more authentic to the original.
