JST Cable Extensions – 150mm
£9.60 – £14.40Price range: £9.60 through £14.40 incl VAT
What others have to say about this:
Helpful for extending the most common cables used in partwork and build-up models.
These high-quality male-to-female JST cable extensions are a simple but essential upgrade for partwork and build-up models, giving you just the right amount of extra reach without creating clutter inside your build.
At 150mm, they’re long enough to solve those frustrating moments when cables don’t quite reach — especially in later build stages — yet short enough to keep your wiring neat and tidy.
Finished in a custom black and grey design, they’re discreet enough to use in visible areas, such as the Hero Collector Ecto-1 roof rack. And because they’re male-to-female, they can be daisy-chained to any length you need, making them perfect for:
- Extending awkward or tight cables
- Testing your wiring with your model in separate sections side by side
With JST connectors being so common across build-up models, these extensions are a must-have in any partwork modeller’s toolkit. A small addition that makes a big difference to almost every build.
Model-specific advice
Fanhome Knight Rider KITT
- At Issue 66 several cables are too short to comfortably reach the mainboard.
- Extensions reduce strain on cables and allow the top and bottom halves of KITT to sit beside each other for testing motors and lights at Stage 87.
- We recommend at least one Full Extension Kit for this build.
Fanhome Ghostbusters Ecto-1
- At Issue 32 you’ll run several cables up to the roof inside the blue tubing (parts 121F x 2). They’ll just reach, but it’s a fiddly and frustrating stage.
- Connecting the top and bottom halves of the model is also difficult with the standard cable length.
- We recommend extending each roof cable with a ‘Type A’ extension (you’ll need 5 x Type A cables) before feeding them through the tubing.
- At least two Full Extension Kit is recommended for this build.
Features:
- Reduces strain on cables
- Makes assembly and handling more comfortable
- Perfect for testing before final installation
- Custom, discreet black and grey design

These are a lifesaver! There are a few cables that are way too short on KITT the knight rider subscription model and these made life so much easier. Thank you for making these! As always Mike Lane Mods are number 1 for all your model needs

The cable extenders are so needed. I no longer have to reroute cables when they are too short. Mike always makes the most useful items. These are a quality product and if you are doing the Delorean, buy a bunch of these. They fix the designers mistakes and, as in my case, builders mistakes. I have used them in several builds so far. I may be short of skills, but I will never be short of a cable.
