Collectibles giants Hot Toys have announced that they’re re-releasing their highly prized 1:6 scale replica of the Back to the Future DeLorean Time Machine. This new take on the model will be based on the car that appeared in Back to the Future II – so look out for rotatable wheels for the hover mode on this one!

It’s been several years since Hot Toys brought out their previous DeLorean model, and as is standard with their products, they released it on a limited run. I know that lots of Back to the Future fans were disappointed to miss out on it the first time round, so this updated release is an opportunity to put that right. It’s pretty rare for Hot Toys to revisit a product like this, so if you are keen to buy one, it’s advisable to act sooner rather than later. The model is expected to ship in mid 2023 but pre-orders are being accepted through Sideshow now.

I’m always on the lookout for ways to make a good model even better.

A pre-built model might not present quite the same modding potential as a build where you can access all the individual parts as it develops. But there are still areas that can be upgraded, with a stunning impact on the overall look of your model. And even on a product like this, my mods are designed to be easy to install, without requiring you to pull your model apart to install them.

My first series of mods for the Hot Toys DeLorean are available now (see below). And the beauty of all these mods is that they’ll be compatible with both models, whether you have the earlier Hot Toys DeLorean or you’re waiting in anticipation for the new one to land.
