Fully compatible with both the original BTTF and new BTTF2 Hot Toys DeLorean
Designed for the 1:6 DeLorean Time Machine from Hot Toys, these miniature metal keys and key tag are the perfect addition to add further realism to your model.
Accurately matched to those seen in Back to the Future and used in the original Hero ‘A’ car, these scale keys are designed to either hang out of the door or from the ignition. With a small pilot hole made, they can also be inserted and removed just like a real key!
Installation is easy, and fully illustrated instructions are provided to guide you through the process of releasing, constructing and installing the keys into your Hot Toys DeLorean Time Machine.
What’s included:
- 1 x Blue key tab with insert
- 2 x Key rings, 1 pre-attached to the blue key tab and 1 spare (can be used for the bonus stock DMC key if desired)
- 1 x Metal key frame housing all keys supplied:
- 3 x General metal keys which shared the same key ring as the ignition key
- 1 x VOLVO ignition key used by the DeLorean Time Machine
- 2 x Half-length VOLVO ignition key
- 4 x Key holes (1 for the ignition, 1 for each door, and 1 spare)
- 1 x Stock DMC ignition key (unused by the Hero ‘A’ Car but used in stock DeLorean’s)
- 2 x Half-length stock DMC ignition keys
- 1 x Fully illustrated set of instructions
The Key Tag
Handmade and pre-attached to the keyring for convenience, the key tag has also been faithfully matched to the original seen in the movie. Double-sided, it includes Doc Brown’s contact details, address and licence number, which on his key tag actually reads OUT-A-TIME.
Gluing Tip: Loctite Super Glue will give the quickest and strongest fixing, but there is a risk of damaging your model with ‘fogging’ if you use too much. Use a pin-prick amount, or if possible, to avoid any fogging use solvent-free glues instead, such as Unibond 100% Power Glue or an Epoxy glue such as Gorilla Epoxy.
All other model parts and accessories shown in the photos outside of the ‘What’s included’ list above are not included and are shown purely for demonstration and application purposes.
