Accurately matched to the classic design of the original Delco batteries used in 1959 Cadillacs, down to the smallest detail including raised lettering, textured sides and accurate fonts.
Each sleeve is high-quality and authentic to the original, pre-painted to give a rubber-look finish, lacquered and ready to fit.
The sleeve has a strong, permanent 3M self-adhesive backing that strengthens over time, giving a long-lasting secure fixing to your model.
This upgrade makes a big difference to the overall finish of the model compared to plain and plasticky look of the standard part. The battery will be visible in the engine bay once the model is complete, so it’s an important detail to get right.
To recreate how the original Delco batteries looked, I would recommend painting the silver caps yellow to accurately imitate the screw-in cell caps which were an iconic part of these vintage batteries. I would recommend using ‘Tamiya Lemon Yellow’ for this, available here on Amazon, for example. Alternatively, any brightly coloured yellow should suffice.

Postman called today and I received the Delco Battery Sleeve as part of the delivery - great quality as always with Mike Lane Mods, the sleeve is easy to apply and looks fantastic. So glad I purchased this and is a great addition and first class added improvement to my Eaglemoss Ecto-1 build. Well done Mike and Thank you!

Received and fitted my Delco battery sleeve today. Excellent quality and perfect fit. Battery was easy to remove with the forward panel that holds it in (am at issue 70). Looks incredible especially with the painted caps in the Tamiya lemon yellow paint recommended by Mike Lane. Couldn't be happier and cannot fault this product at all. A great little mod that makes a massive difference.

Easy to install and is so well done. Precision fitting, easy to install, infinity improves the looks of the battery. Also, a good hint about painting the little caps on the Eaglemoss battery to look like it should.
These are really first class improvements to the look of the Echo-1. Mr. Lane's improvements are so well thought out and innovative AND necessary Well done again Mike. Thank you.
