Magnetic Die-Cast Licence Plates

Made from solid metal, these 1:8 scale die-cast magnetic licence plates feature improved, screen accurate designs, raised lettering, silver fixing and hole detailing and highly detailed print.
Each licence plate is handmade, high-quality and screen-accurate, and includes magnetic or permanent fixing options.
The Afterlife plates are individually hand weathered, painted and sealed, so each plate is completely unique.
Front and rear plates are provided with each kit, both differing in design slightly, with their fixing and hole detailing accurately matched to the real plates on the Ectomobile.
Magnetic or permanent fixing options
You can fix the plates to your model using either the magnetic kit (making the plates interchangeable), or alternatively, if you would prefer to fix a single plate permanently to your model you can use the provided 3M self-adhesive backing sticker. Both options are quick and easy to install, with step-by-step instructions provided for each.
Tip: The permanent fixture will give your plates a slightly lower profile as there is no magnetic backing behind the plate; however, you will lose the ability to swap your plates.
How do they differ from the Eaglemoss plates?
These plates differ from the Eaglemoss plates in a number of ways, including general design corrections, corrected font colour and element positioning. All plates are closely matched to the originals seen in the Ghostbusters movies.
The font colour should be New York State blue rather than black. The fixings on the plates are also more accurate, with correct positions and the right fixing missing on the front ECTO-1 plate, exactly how it appeared in Ghostbusters. The rear plate was attached to the car using the top two fixing points, again replicated in this set.
Together with these design improvements, I also have additional designs such as the Afterlife and Ecto-1A plates, which aren’t available with the model.
Also, being magnetic, these plates allow you to instantly switch between different versions of the front plate and future plates I have planned for this model.
The cropped front plate
The front plate, with its cropped left and top border, imitates how the plate appears in the iconic Ghostbusters scene where the Ecto-1 is first revealed. Similar to the Eaglemoss plate, you may think, but together with other design and colour corrections, this plate will allow you to correctly angle and position it on the front of the car, into the top-left corner – unlike the plate provided with the model which is fixed incorrectly and permanently into the centre of the licence plate surround.
Why is the border cropped on this design? Whilst it’s difficult to see, the original ECTO-1 licence plate in Ghostbusters does actually have a full border surround, but is part-hidden on the top and left sides behind the chrome licence plate surround. A version of the front plate with the full border is also available if you would prefer it to look ‘right’.

I just got the die-cast license plates & the wheel caps sets for the Ghostbuster ECTO-1. As usual excellent quality. It was very easy to install and It made a big difference. By the way, I am waiting for your new mods for the ECTO-1. Thank you mike !!
