Capable of powering your entire KITT via USB-C, you can say “bye bye” to those pesky batteries and “hello” to mains power – together with a dual monitor bezel and lens, with incredible, fully animated electronic monitor screens for KITT’s dashboard!

With over 5 minutes of continuous true-to-the-show and bespoke animations, this powerful upgrade adds heart, soul and a whole lot of juice to your KITT supercar model.

Featuring tiny, real monitor displays to replace the static panel provided with the model, this easy-to-install upgrade brings extra life to KITT’s interior.

Remastered animations

Each animation has been painstakingly remastered frame-by-frame, pixel-by-pixel, to be as authentic as possible to selected, iconic sequences across all seasons of the original 1980’s TV show Knight Rider.

Including memorable moments such as in Season 1 Episode 3 ‘Deadly Maneuvers’ when Michael is playing computer games inside KITT. Plus, when KITT scans Bonnie to determine her ‘vital statistics’, and when KITT shows off his new functions including his ‘Self-analysing Probe’ in Season 3… and many more!

Sequences also include a number of unique, custom animations, including the title screen to the racing game Michael is playing, and multiple new animations for the second screen when only one screen was originally visible in the show. All in keeping with KITT’s other animations, and uniquely futuristic, but very 80s interface.

Easy to install

This upgrade comes as a plug-and-play kit designed to install in seconds, and also includes much improved bezels for the front of the monitor screens.

The one-piece custom assembly requires no cutting or drilling into your model and simply slots into place.

The whole assembly fits within the existing dashboard and is secured in place with just a couple of screws.

Also included is a custom, slimline USB-C ribbon cable to discreetly feed down through KITT’s engine bay for receiving power. A matching slimline 1.5M USB-C extension cable is also available as an optional extra.

The custom circuit board has been carefully engineered and designed to be expandable – capable of accepting and controlling future Mike Lane electronic upgrades, currently in development (release dates TBC).

*Important: USB-C power and alternative power sources, such as batteries and third-party power mods, must never be connected and powering the model at the same time.

**Please note: Mains USB-C plug adaptor is only available for UK customers as part of the Premium Plus kit. Most USB-C phone chargers will be suitable, but please check the rating on the adaptor before use. A regulated USB-C power supply at 4.5v-6v DC, with a minimum 10W (2Amp) output is required. Alternatively you can even power your model via a computer or USB-C power bank.
