What others have to say about this:

Designed for 1:8 scale models, but also suitable for other large-scale models such as the 1:6 Hot Toys and Blitzway models.

Installation instructions

Please refer to the step-by-step photos here on this page for additional installation guidance.

  1. Using a modelling craft knife, carefully cut the tabs holding the clamps into place. It’s best to only release individual hose clamps as you need them, keeping the remaining clamps protected on the frame before use.
  2. For the best results, slightly pre-curl the hose clamp on a screwdriver before installing. Without pre-curling, you may find that the hose clamp has more of a stepped bend around your hose as it tightens.
  3. Place the clamp around the hose or cables you to intend to detail, and feed the tail of the clamp through the head. You should be able to achieve this step with only your fingers.
  4. To tighten and secure the house clamp into place, first hold the head securely in place with some flat head tweezers, keeping the head at a 90-degree angle to the tail.
  5. Next, pull the tail of the clamp through the head. Modelling pliers are best suited to this step as you will need a better grip than tweezers can provide to effectively tighten the clamp.
  6. Once the clamp is tightened, carefully fold the head back over the tail using your tweezers. This will lock the clamp into place and complete the head detailing by revealing the ‘304’ stamp. Be careful not to fold the head back and forth, as this may result in the head snapping. It’s best to fold once and commit.
  7. Lastly, trim the tail back using some metal cutting pliers or a good pair of scissors. For the most effective look, it’s best to leave some of the tail visible.

Quite possibly the smallest functional hose clamps in the world, perfect for detailing any 1:8 partwork or other large scale model!

First seen in use on my Resurrect the Ecto-1 kits, these metal hose clamps are now available to buy separately to enhance your other partwork or big-scale models.

At only 1mm wide, these tiny hose clamps look great on scale models and add another level of authenticity and realism. Each hose clamp clicks and locks as you pull, perfect for holding small wires and hoses in place with style.

Great for interior and exterior model detailing such as engine compartments, plus also useful for general cable management for lighting and power cables, etc.

Each clamp is highly detailed, even including a stainless steel ‘304’ mark and fixing nut detailing on each head, just like the real thing.
