1:8 Mini Cable Ties
£16.00 ex VAT
My mini cable ties are the ideal solution for 1:8 scale model projects. These tiny zip ties have been designed to simulate the real thing, even featuring a self-locking effect as you tighten which proves both functional and highly convincing on a miniature scale.
Installing these mini cable ties is easy. No pre-soaking is required – just peel and tie your micro zip ties in place!
These mini cable ties were originally designed for use on the 1:8 DeLorean Time Machine model by Eaglemoss. But they are equally suitable for any other 1:8 replica model that would benefit from adding tiny zip ties, such as the Ghostbusters Ecto-1 by Hero Collector!
They are available in two colours: black and white.
- 1 x Pack of 40 mini cable ties in two lengths (30 long and 10 regular).
To fit these mini cable ties you will need:
- A good set of fine point tweezers
- Good eyesight, patience, and a steady hand 😄
Gluing is optional, but may offer a more permanent hold if desired. Designed for detailing purposes only.
Help positioning your Mini Cable Ties:
1) “Where are the black cable ties in the DeLorean?”
It often comes as a surprise to people but yes, there are indeed black cable ties in the DeLorean Time Machine. Whilst you will have noticed the DeLorean is mostly covered in white ties, inside and out, there are a few black ones scattered about if you look closely. If you’re looking to detail your DeLorean to the extreme, and accurately to the ‘A’ car, then you’re going to want to grab a set!
2) “Where do the cable ties go exactly?”
Well, thanks to Todd McWilliams at mybttfdelorean.com your prayers have been answered! Todd has been kind enough to snap and share hundreds of gorgeous, high-resolution photos of the DeLorean Time Machine proudly on display at the Petersen Museum in Los Angeles, California.
Here is the link to the photos for you all to enjoy: bit.ly/bttfdelorean
Here you’ll find plenty of photos detailing exactly where all the cable ties are positioned, as well as other photos to drool over! Todd took these with you guys in mind so deserves a massive thank you from all of us building the 1:8 Eaglemoss DeLorean Time Machine. There are details in these photos that you just don’t see elsewhere on the internet. Plus, you can trust these photos are from the original ‘A’ car itself.
3) “How many sets do I need?”
This all depends on how detailed you want to go. Some builders are quite happy to replace the supplied over-sized ones for mine, in which case a single pack of white and a single pack of black will do the trick. However, for the rivet counters of you out there (myself included) who wish to detail their DeLorean true to the original, I would recommend a minimum of two white packs and one black pack. Each pack comes with 40 mini cable ties, and of course, if you need more you can always come back!
